On top of that, it can get very expensive and time consuming if you don’t know what you’re doing. Focus on what you do best, running your business, and let someone like us help you grow.

How long does it take before I can expect results?

This may be our most common question, and it’s a good one. The type of results and the time to see results are going to vary based on (1) the services you are using and (2) the aggressiveness of your marketing efforts. More comprehensive marketing strategies tend to yield better, quicker results and will always be recommended by Fahrenheit. An example would be Pay Per Click as it can be activated and delivering traffic to your website within hours of setup. Search Engine Optimization and Social Media services can and do take weeks, sometimes months, before any direct results are noticed.

What is SEO?

SEO is an acronym for search engine optimization. SEO is something that can be done on your website (content development, coding, internal linking, etc) or off of your website (link building) to help your website organically rank for its relevant key phrases. How do I know if my website is ranking or not?

The easiest way to see if your site is ranking is to simply go to Google, Yahoo or Bing and do a search for the key phrases that you feel are relevent to your website. If you do not see yourself on the first page of those search engines for those key phrases then your site is not getting the placement and exposure it needs and you have some work to do. Our team of SEO professionals can help you achieve the organic rankings your website needs to be found online.

Why is my website not ranking for my key phrases?

If your website has not proven itself as a relevant, authoritative, legitimate resource for the key phrases you think you should be ranking for, then it will most certainly not compete for the coveted organic rankings on the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing. To make your website “relevant, authoritative and legitimate” your website needs (1) quality content, (2) quality backlinks and (3) proper coding. If you do not have experience recognizing these things or accomplishing them, then we can help.

What is Pay Per Click advertising (PPC)?

PPC is an acronym for Pay Per Click – a form of online advertising that allows companies to show ads on the major search engines and social networks based on key phrases or demographic information. The idea of pay per click is to have relevant ads only show when a user performs a search or meets a certain set of demographic info that an advertiser has selected. One of the most well-known, and effective, pay per click ad platforms is Google AdWords.

I’ve heard pay per click is a waste of money. Why should I use it?

Pay per click can most certainly be one of the quickest ways to blow through a marketing budget without any results….when you don’t know what you’re doing. A professionally setup and managed pay per click campaign can yield very quick, consistent increases in relevant traffic to your website. With budget being your only real limitation, the increase of new, qualified traffic to your website can be enormous. We highly encourage customers, especially those with brand new websites and specific marketing campaigns, to use pay per click to reach the right people at the right time – when they perform a search.

Why is my ad is not showing up first (in the first position)?

You, like every other advertiser using pay per click ads, would typically like their ads to be in the first position. As a result, this creates a large amount of competition, thus making it difficult for a novice to get their ads placed above everyone else’s. Ad positions, with pay per click, happen in a couple ways – (1) you have outbid your competitors for a key phrase and/or (2) your ad is higher quality and more relevant than your competitors’. Different platforms rank paid ads differently, but these two reasons are generally going to answer this question.

What is Social Media Marketing (SMM)?

SMM is an acronym for social media marketing, which is an online marketing method of using social networks, like Facebook and Twitter, to promote your business. By promoting content, engaging customers and showing responsiveness and accessibility on highly trafficked social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, etc) a business can grow their website’s exposure and authority.

Which social networks should I focus on?

Social networks have been coming and going since the advent of social media and this trend will most likely not change for quite some time. There are some obvious networks, like Facebook and Twitter, that boast the largest user bases, but to generalize these as the best for every business would not be correct. The best social networks to focus on are the ones where your customers spend their time and where you enjoy spending yours. If you don’t know who your customers are, then you need to figure that out first. And, if you don’t enjoy using a certain social network, then you most likely will not get much out of it. Social media marketing requires constant, ongoing engagement if you want to see results.

I don’t want my clients to see my personal info on my social profiles. Should this stop me from using social media?

This may be our most common question in regards to social media marketing. First and foremost, it is important to know that there are options that will prevent your clients from seeing your personal social media profiles so this should never be a deterrent. Secondly, you may want to really think about how and why your business could benefit from social media before you consider using it. If you’re really that worried about a client seeing something about you, then you may need to focus on bigger issues that may be preventing your business from growing. Social media is all about transparency so if this is not something your business believes in, then other options may be better suited.
